Nixie was founded by a Stanford physics researcher and a Google engineering lead.

The adventure began in 2014 when our founders noticed they couldn't capture their best moments -- they were too busy having fun to stop and pose. So that Stanford physics researcher and Google engineering leader began designing a totally new kind of camera. Nixie would take photos and videos as magically as a photographer.

They entered an early prototype into Intel's Make it Wearable competition and won the Grand Prize. Check out the first Nixie prototype flight on stage:

Every day in our labs since 2014, our team of engineers, scientists, designers, and master tinkerers has been pushing the boundaries of photography, robotics, and the way we experience adventure. We have one goal: to give you a new way to capture the moment.

We're proud of what we've accomplished so far, and can't wait for you to experience Nixie.
